Herpes and foreplay?

I've been recently diagnosed with genital herpes. It's been a while since I've had sex due to the diagnosis and am wanting to see if I'm ready again.

I have always enjoyed oral sex as foreplay but am not liking the idea of a dental dam. What do others do, with genital herpes, as foreplay? Some ideas please?

Herpes and foreplay?
I have genital herpes, but I do have hsv-1 not hsv-2, and hsv-1 usually causes oral herpes. Personally, I have not changed anything. Oral sex has never been my thing in a big way, but I haven't started using protection for it with my boyfriend. The way I see it, the only thing they are going to get from giving oral sex is a cold sore, or oral herpes, and they are risking that every single time they kiss someone, so why worry about it? And 80% of people have oral herpes anyway, so they can't catch hsv-1 again and are very unlikely to catch hsv-2 on top of their hsv-1. Don't worry about it so much.
Reply:if you do not want to contaminate people you might want to avoid that . when your shedding the dental dam will not work. you can still pass the virus even with condom.
Reply:tell him to lie still ,and that you are about to use him as a dildo and tell him to shut up .if he dosent like that then hes not a keeper .
Reply:Please always use a condom. and I wouldnt have sex during a outbreak just to be safe.

To get more related information about this problem, you can check my personal herpes blog at: http://www.positivesingles.com/blog/hgir...
Reply:TAKE YOUR MEDS. TELL HIM THAT YOU HAVE IT SO THAT HE CAN MAKE THE DECISION TO GO FURTHER AND ALSO THAT HE DOESNT GET A SURPRISE AFTER PERFORMING ORAL ON YOU. IF YOU DONT HAVE IT IN YOUR MOUTH, YOU CAN STILL HAVE ORAL BUT HE SHOULDNT BE PERFORMING ON YOU ESPECIALLY IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE AN OUTBREAK OR ARE GETTING ONE.
